some ppl's blogs are sucha bore to read. unlike the controversial stuff i write here. hawhawhaw. wth wants to know where/what time have you been esp they didn't even go there with you.
plus; superficial politeness, politically-correct statements, hypocrites.
hate them all. it's these unwanted extras of life that nobody welcomes. nor condone.
acting nice is an eg.
trying to be nice when you're troubled inside isn't.
carol was on e bus to school today. and it brought back memories. albeit not that rosy ones. hmm. but neither are they BAD memories. i guess it's juz one of those things that stands as an obstacle between me and her. and i'm starting to miss this girl so bloody much. not carol. new one (: argh. maybe u could say i'm fickle. hmm but she's sucha nice kid. she's sweet =)

my studies fuctions just like a command economy.
goals, yes.
results, no.
efficiency, not really there yet.
social welfare, LOTS!
little profit incentive, YES
allocative inefficiency, you bet.
i was watching the news just now and they showed images of the russian rescue sub which got stuck underwater (how ironic haha) and i noticed Russia, despite having sucha bloody big land mass which probably contains endless amounts of natural resource, still lies in shambles and ruins. their navy ship has paint that's as old and fading as mona lisa and even their rescue vehicles look like they were flashbacks from the 60s. to top off the whole report, the narrator left off saying something like 'this is just one of many cases afflicting the run-down Russian military'. communism ended more than 10 years ago but Russia still seems to carry the excess luggage of this decade long legacy which sadly plagued her nation's progress. damnit. i won't want my results to land up like that.

thoughts abt srjc
it's been over a year since my admission into srjc. it may not be a bed of roses, nor the greatest college around nor are it's results skylightingly impressive but i think had i been posted to anywhere else, i wouldn't have done the things i have achieved in sr in my stay here. game ic. chingay motivator. class chairman. tennis captain (my foot haha). 1s08. 1a02. evening of hearts. mad movement. the lit pdn. pre-u seminar 05. pre-u sem 2006. LTC. seriously even vs guys in sr admit that we're given so much opportunities to grow and excel which in vs you could hardly get (cuz everyone else's equally gd). would i have been given all this in cj? frm what they say, urrh. i doubt so. sr sr. may not have bombastic knockouts around but hey they're actually kinda nice to look at after a while (: beats the socks outta mi LOL. sigh well i've like 1yr 3mths more of waking up at 6 to go. such a pain to think my ex-classmates go hme at like 2.30pm and only have a few mths to go to the A's. arrrgh. well. there's saving graces this yr too. she's so slow =)

i think literature is a beautiful subject. you may think it's damn dead and boring studying what shakespeare wrote like 200 years ago but the special thing and what makes that bald guy so great is that his works reflected life which strangely, is still relevent today. besides lit is everywhere even in the words you speak. but what i can neva get hold of is the poetic terms and skills which disturbingly, still sound foreign to me at this point of time.

my greatest regret: not choosing arts last year.
geting a screwed up e8 for chinese.
my greatest/proudest moment: meeting the people of 1S08'04
thinking back, although i regretted not chooing arts frm the start, but if i did, i wouldn't have met people like kerui. bola. zw. ls. sometimes i can feel so frustrated with my own class. sometimes i feel so ANGRY at the R1 status beside my name on the class list. then i start to think of them. the best thing that came out of last yr would prob be i met some great buds for life. hmmm BUT i've met many nice people this yr too =) argh well the tennis team sucks this year. but urh. yeah. tennis this year sucks. chris and another vs guy were in the lib today and he started rambling abt how fun MI was in 1st 3 mths. well. 1st 3mths IS LIKE THAT right? but not for me lah. for that sickening R1 status on my name. arr well. but would it be as fun if you knew u had to stay in MI for the next 2++ YEARS? kinda like how 1st and 2nd intake in srjc differs so bloody much. enough crapping man. i always step on so many ppl's toes in my blog entries.

A reproduction of my GP assignment: Give a short comment on Youth Violence
What actually defines youth violence? murder? assault? slamming doors? cruel treatment towards animals? anti-social behaviour? Schools and social groups have come up with guidelines and checklists on the 'early warning signs', profiles and observations of such cases but as each case differs and varies from each other,i have personal doubts that such an approach be effective in trying to correct the wayward teen's attitude. In the Juvenile Court of Singapore for example, the judge often places much of the responsiblilty on the youngster's parent(s) as society often presumes (and it's even written into law) that an individual below the age of 16 should be given a chance and tried in the less intimidating Juvenile Courts should he or she break any law. I am not pushing for the law protecting minors to be abolished here but i feel that regardless of age, one should know how to seperate right from wrong even at the most superficial degree (do not take what's not yours. do note harm others.treat animals with care and respect..etc..) and not hide behind the pretense and protection of this law which equates criminal liability with one's years of mortal experience. If the state has been so sucessful with eliminating or at least correcting cases of youth violence, i find it bewildering that one is still able to find such outrageously dressed young punks terrorising the streets with lewd dialect remarks and uncivil wolf calls and whistles. Has the state-run schools failed in passing on moral values or is this a sign of rebellion against the encroachment of the state into people's lives to even influence how one should treat others. Besides, this should have been taught at home. Should we generalize and equate youth violence with a lack of parent guidance, thus the state should step in? Unfortunately in my own personal point of view, if you can't take care of your own children then i think they shouldn't be under your care.

when you're a student and you don't fall sick often (definition: at least 3 times in one term), it implies:
1. NO, it's not that that you have a superhuman and god-like state of health
2. you don't push urself hard enough.
jas has so much drive la. she pushes herself so hard that she falls sick with stress-related ailments. fuck. i'm a guy. i should be able to do as much as her or even more lah. I think PH might be true sometimes. she actually told my mum on Parent's Day that i'm too laid-back. take things easy. i complete tutorials but NOt fast enough. arGh. promos coming in less than 8 weeks. 56 days. My midyr results will get me promoted but bloody hell i won't want to get that kinda grades for my A's. I'm not slack. It's just that I do work slowly. THAT's gotta change. like now. curent aims:
econs : C
lit : D
geog : E
aom : c5. period. no use devoting so much time to get a1.
the class's breaking up. honestly i thought 1a04 would go all the way.. this is terrible.. everyone's just minding their own business and not giving a fuck about their own classmates. sounds kind of selfish but i'm hurt by all this lah. travis me karts esther khai and gapi have all tried so hard to bring all of us together but all our efforts have gone to naught. and travis always gets the blame lah. honestly that guy has leadership but everyone's taking him for granted. our class has a problem.. we never treasure what we have until it's gone. perhaps it's human instinct.

Hiroshima Essay Question
On August 6, 1945 the United States dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima Japan.
On August 9, 1945 the United States dropped a second bomb on Nagasaki Japan. A few days later, Japan surrendered, effectively ending World War II. Presidents Truman's decision to use the Atomic bombs against Japan remains controversial.
In an essay state whether or not you believe the United States should have used atomic weapons against Japan at the end of World War Two. What alternatives, if any, did the United States have besides using atomic weapons.
Arguments For
- The use of the bombs ended the war with Japan more quickly and, consequently, saved more lives. Had the atomic bombs not been used, a full-scale invasion of Japan would have been necessary, resulting in hundreds of thousands more lives being lost.
- The Japanese military was fanatical and needed a strong message to indicate the futility of their cause.
- The Atomic bomb has become mystified because of the latter-day dilemma surrounding nuclear weapons. Before the atomic bombs, thousands of people in Europe and Asia had been killed using conventional weapons, and yet there seems to be no remorse over the use of these weapons.
- The use of the bomb was just retribution against Japan for its role in World in World II. The atomic bombs ended a conflict which the Japanese were largely responsible for starting. After the Allies defeated the Japan, a democratic government was established in that nation. Today Japan is an economic and democratic success story largely because of American altruism. Would the story still be the same if Imperial Japan or Nazi Germany had found atomic weapons first and defeated the Allied nations?
Arguments Against
- The bombing of a civilian population is morally reprehensible and against the Geneva Conventions of war. Hiroshima and Nagasaki had almost no military value, and were chosen largely because they were relatively unscathed by previous conventional bombing. The U.S. military wanted clean targets to measure the impact of atomic weapons. In effect, some 250,000+ people lost their lives so the U.S. could conduct a test, which is an atrocity.
- That the Japanese would lose the war was a foregone conclusion, so arguments suggesting that the atomic bombs ended the war are fallacious. The United States made little effort in attempting to warn the Japanese of the potential power of atomic weapons as a method of convincing the Japanese to surrender.
- In using the bomb, the United States could have chosen an uninhabited or military target. Such a show of force would have forced the Japanese to surrender.
- Why the Nagasaki bomb. Even if one could argue that by bombing Hiroshima the United States forced a Japanese surrender, what possible explanation was there for the use of the second bomb on Nagasaki? Bombing Nagasaki was simply gratuitous genocide.

I am here to torment your weekday afternoon television experience. muhahaha.
The show's called Iron Chef. I used to watch it back in Sec 4 when we STILL came home at earthly hours. Like 4pm. haha.
You know, after looking closer at the photo you start to think that it/he resembles someone from the Othello Pdn. heheheh.
