today's the 2nd last day at Geylang Bahru =( gonna miss some parts of our old campus. eg the grandstand and the twists and turns in our old building =] lotsa places to hide. my fren even told me that she likes our sch coz it's gd for playing hide and seek =D
bleahh. but i generally prefer the new campus! 500 seat AVA Threatrette =] no more squeezing and smelling each other during those combined threatrette lessons! cool huh.
and they said like the canteen is damn big so there's no more olympic marathon races to the canteen to prevent joining the crazy long queues during recess. gross and disgusting peeps like nicholas and jason will be disappointed.. but i dun even go for recess! =D heck care abt those 2 mad morons anyway. attitude sia.

gonna bring my cam tomorrow and on friday!
today my cam ran outta batteries. so i only took 20+ pics.. and well today i was kinda afraid that dumb DM will come and lay his claws on my cam. it cost $260!!
well. think i'm gonna go all out and go on a shooting spree =)

i got to know the daughter of the Caltex CEO! seems that she's left at home alone during e afternoon and she's bored like mad =p so she goes calling my phone. lols. she loves to praise herself alot =P self-praise. + her bro is in my sch and sec 4 too! my gosh. and her mum is teachin biology at mgs. and just yesturday she went to the caltex frankel station (which is near my house) and spot-checked them. ~ this is a mad conincidence.

Prefects: The Bridge between the student body and the Administration or The Bridge between the Administration and the student body?

To whomever it may concern:

I seriously doubt the headprefect's sincereity and honesty when he said the qouted sentence at this year's Prefect's Investiture 2003 held in March.

qoute: "I strongly feel that the prefectorial board is a constant two-way bridge between the adminstration and the student body as a whole" unqoute.

Mr Headprefect, you should go for honestly and sincerity classes. The prefectorial board likes to boast how much they do for the school and the earth-shaking sacrifices they have to make for the school, but have they thought about the welfare of the students for once? We, the majority, were the very ones who put you where you are today. Without our generous votes and testimonials, you wouldn't have come close to anywhere near your position now. From my perspective, the only jobs the prefects seem to be doing for the students are announcements of notices and news events in morning assembly and the occasional time when one has to approach the prefect's rrom to 'deposit' his bag for safe keeping. Other than these 2 major favours that the PB has provided (and we are thankful for), the PB has always been associated as "The Policemen of the Administration". Very often, we see prefects treating students like farm animals, prohibiting our movements to certain areas after dismissal at morning assembly, (qoute from the VSPB website):"chasing" (unqoute) students out from their classrooms during recess and before assembly. The excessive usage of the noun "chasing" says alot about the respect they have for their fellow Victorians. It gives one an impression that the PB is taking on a dictatorship role of the Student Policeman. The hostile way the prefects stand beside the student body during assembly also gives the image that we are being "commanded" by them. Where in the world, do you find a proxy (or broker) commanding you? There have even been incidents where students have been asked to pick up litter by the prefects! Don't we live in a democratic society? Why must prefects have a mentality that they are 'higher' and more superior than the student body? Fine fine, the PB is given certain powers by the administration for certain duties, but i have reason to believe that some prefects, "high" about their superiority feeling, abuse such powers. One can even see this by the way he talks or walks. I know of prefects who have attitude and social problems and avoid some of their classmates, or totally don't even talk to them at all. This is revolting behaviour. infact, it's disturbing. I am not against the idea of instilling discipline in the students, but we should not go overboard. Anyway, the problem of discipline should be handled by the adminstration, not by 15 or 16 "premature in mentality" year olds. I feel too, that there are some prefects who are disgustingly unreasonable, and love to throw their weight about. One doesn't have to mention names to find out this person's identity. One can even say they're unreasonable to the extent of not even being human anymore.



So is Prefectorial Board "The Bridge between the student body and the Administration or The Bridge between the Administration and the student body?

I very hope so that it is the former.
But from what it seems and the way some prefects treat the student body, i sadly think that the answer to this question would be the latter.

Domo is another whimsical creation from our eccentric Japanese friends. He is a strange brown creature born from an egg. One day, he fell into his rabbit friend Usuajii's house. Shortly after that he became introduced with the TV. Since then he has become a TV fiend and will go to any measures necessary to get his TV. Domo Kun is is a very strong creature but he posesses the ability to be gentle. When he is in a bad mood, he breaks wind and his favorite food is beef stew.
If you like Domo Kun (of course you do), go buy him in Japan, because you won't find him easily in America. If someone can find a Domo kun plush doll in the States, please email us and we'll spread the word. Domo has gained recent notoriety in America from his appearances on Fark.com. He is also featured in several online jokes (see God Kills A Kitten and God Kills a Domo Kun). Yeah, thats about it.

"fu an!!", the middle-aged woman screamed into her portable hi-tech voice magnifying sound system.
i spread my right arm in fear and agony as i reached for the dreaded, crumpled and much soiled A4 sized piece if paper - wow! i got 34%!

" fu an, yao nu li hor." i hear the same sentence streaming from that ever so familiar voice.
a split second of virtual silence loomed. immanuel looked in disbelief at my record-breaking score.
he clasped his hands in religious style and bowed down his head.
the lady took a glimpse at the on going real life drama at play. turning away to face the other 38 boys, she continued to hand out the remaining scripts. the concurrent scene of events and sound play naturally silenced out.
i looked at that unsimplified fraction. 22/110. it took almost a whole day for the effects of such devastating trauma to set into me.
i failed chinese.
