It's been confirmed.

I'm going to drop A maths.
That means i won't follow my class to 4E next year. Byebye tai tai teo :P

Why? tai tai teo (our form teacher) teaches A MAths! That means 4E will remain a 8 Subject class. But after dropping a maths i'll be doing 7 subjs. That means i'll be leaving and packing my bags for any class EXCEPT 4A (9 subj class lei), 4D(2nd best class after 4A.Basket smart aleks.) , 4C (A maths class), 4E(A Maths class) and 4G (Sports class). To where? who knows..

That basically means i'll be going to 4B(oh god. Pls dun ever send me to 4B.Pals close to me will know how fantastic 4B is), 4F, 4H, 4I or 4J next year.
But i'll definately be leaving 4E.

I managed to find out what happened during the Emergency Staff Meeting in Mr Ang's Office this morning =]

(Applies to Sec 3 students)

1. None will be kicked out. A great blardy hell sigh of relief.

2. Failures will be retained.

3. Form teachers are to talk to pupil's parents if his results are barely passing (borderline cases)

4. Failures are to see the Principal.

*Not to sure abt Sec Twos and Sec Ones*

Mr Ang also commented that the Sec 3 level did badly and i dunno what ideas he's gonna make us go through during e hols. *Maybe Study Camps.

The plan for pupils who failed A Maths to drop the subject has been approved by him and will be executed next yr.
These pupils will then only do a 7 Subject-Combination.

All 7 Subject Combination students will be placed in the same class.
- i.e the current classes will be broken up

It's the end for 3E. 50% failed A Maths

Hmm..Some of you may have noticed that i was away since Friday evening

Saturday Afternoon
I was supposed to accompany Apinun to his Somerset Church in Nexus or something but i fell asleep =D

Saturday Evening
Left my hse at 6.40pm to join my cousin's uni friends cycling.. All medicine students leh.. Future docs!
But ironically medical students always seem to crash or fall off their bicycles :P They're also more fun than u think! Dun be mistaken that they bury their heads in books all day long~
Went cycling to one of their uni friend's birthday chalet. Had a light supper there and mingled arnd with e other peeps there.Actually having a chalet party is quite co0l.Shld join more =]
Afterthat we headed to the suspension bridge at Kallang Indoor Stadium after a loo0ong long delay cos their rented bikes kept falling apart..Waddaya expect? Rental Bikes are all like that!
Fell asleep on the bridge while the others played card games..
Her (my cousin) frens managed to get some breakfast for us and we sat there like a refugee camp
Headed back to the bike rental shop at East Coast Park at 5.30am cuz the bikes must reach back by 8.Otherwise the uncle there will bash u like hell and you can say byebye to ur deposit.
However at the speed we cycled we only reached the shop at around 7+.
Was lucky enough that the shop uncle happened to pass by and open the shop for us to return the bikes just when we arrived.

comments? : Not that bad la..But could've covered more if everyone cycled a litttle litttlle bit faster. Was fun althou i wuz the youngest among all of them

Discovery of the day! : Alot of people don't believe that i'm 15yrs old! They either think i'm 16 or 17. One guy even said 19 =] I know. I'm an old cow.

The great one wishes to advise all his buddies and pals from VS to be mentally, emotionally and physically prepared for the script checking on Friday. I have seen the physics marks on the intranet using my mum's account and it was pure horror. Only a handfew passed. My only advice to you is to be prepared. Readiness is your only defence.

I got a close shave with the Lord of Calculators today.
The basket invigilator is super kneow man.
Physics exam end at 1002 so he stop us on the dot, even when almost everyone hasn't finished yet.
He dun even trust his own holy, innocent, pure and clean students to keep thier calculators! Even must put on the floor!!
So in my haste, i forgot to pick up my calculator when our class was dismissed.
Dunno why..Usually i'm not so careless one..

Luckily, the great kind soul Monitor of the century, millenium and some say the universe! of my class picked up my calculator =)
I could even see that he had almost everyone else's calculator too!!

Lesson learnt today: Don't be a kiasi. Defy the invigilator's orders. Better SAFE than SORRY =) I shall never put my calculator on the floor again. It's life threatening. It's risky. It's dangerous. Put it on the floor and never expect to see it again, if people like Nigel happen to walk past your class row.

I truely believe the student welfare in VS is somesort pathetic. Some of our students are obviously in emotional and adcademic distress but some of our teachers simply turn a blind-eye to them. I feel this is really very sad for VS, being one of Singapore's premier schools. The stress we have may be much higher than our counterparts from other schools because of the expectation from our teachers to perform, but i do think they should care about our welfare too. There's a physics forumla: Energy input (Studying, mid-night cramming etc..) = Energy output (academic sucess). If the teachers want higher output from us, the least thing they could do was to take care of us too? We are not robots you know. Infact we are humans, 100% flesh and blood. I have a few friends who actaully anticipate the administration to pull them out of VS if they fail their exams. I guess maybe it would be better for them to study at their own pace at a neighbourhood school, instead of suffering and struggling in VS. What i am pushing for here is for the administration to show that they do care for us, and caring as not in smoke tests,overkill-discipline standards or any public canings. Of late, i notice that the admin has been using an iron fist on the study body to get things done. Admin can show appreciation of our efforts by at least starting to give us souvenirs for national holidays and events, eg National day, Youth Day (even on Youth Day, we, the ones who are supposed to be apprecaited on that day, have to carry newspapers!). I mean collecting newspapers for charity is fine, but not on our own Youth Day?

Almost everyone can remember the unfortunate incident where one of our sec 4 seniors from 2001 took his own life just because of his results?

Unfortunately, Mr Ang did not seem too shaken by this sad event. The next day when he mentioned this to the school, it was like he only gave it some 5+ minutes of the school's attention. What's more, he did not mention why he jumped. It was as if he wanted to conceal the truth that we do need help. From my own sources, on the day of release of the o level results, mr ang even scolded the 2001 sec 4s for the poor performance, and even blamed them for certain unsatisfactory performaces in certain subjects. I mean, what's done is done. Surely the least bit you could do was to respect them and console the sec 4s? Immediately after observing a minute's silence for our fellow victiorian, he then went to proceed to talk about results and adding more stress to us. I was really disappointed by this event.. It simply showed that over-emphesis on results even at the expense of our own welfare and well-being. I believe if something is not done soon, VS could tumble down to it's knees with a whole army of disheartened soldiers and in the process bring down the standards of VS.. In a few years time, VS may even become your ordinary neighbourhood school..

1. Electron = Proton (I dunno how in the world she finds out their sizes! Maginificant eyesight i guess.. Anyway which crazy chem paper will ask you about the size of the electron?!)
More likely they ask you about the size of the molecule and atom, and the atomic mass la.

2. Neutron comes from the word "neutral". And neutral, meaning Zero, none other suggests that Neutrons have 0 charge!

Dear (teacher),

I came down with Dengue Fever yesturday and would most probably not able to take my exam tomorrow as i will be consulting a doctor.

What i am worried about is that since i will not be able to take my exam, 80% of my CA2 marks will be counted in as my SA2 marks instead. However my CA2 marks are already quite poor and if only 80% of it is taken, i would surely fail my (subject).

I would like to ask you if there was any way i could take my exam on another date?

Signs that almost the whole school knows that you're a teacher's son:

1. The canteen uncle and aunties seem to wave or call you when you visit the dark, terrible and errie canteen.

2. The canteen uncle and aunties even call you by your name!! (even though you never told them your name!)

3. The bookshop auntie and the servants like to call you "ah boy! chi bao le ma?"

4. Teachers whom never taught you before even know your name!

5. LIM SHENG HUI DANIEL knows my name and even knows who is my mother, even though i never even talked to him before.

6. People start asking you whether you have a sister (?!?!?!)
